Latest(?) AP News app wipe clipboard on exit

Is this new in thier latest version or new. Copy something to your clipboard, enter AP app, read any any article but copy nothing. Exit the app. Try to past the clipboard to notes. You will find it to be empty.

This is ********. I can understand wiping if I copy a story but nothing? What if I had something copied but not saved yet.

Just checked diffently on exit. Tried and clipboard wasn't wiped. It's the AP being anal that you are going steal the story. That isn't going to stop anyone but cause people to lose stuff.
