Hi,

I have the latest model of Apple TV 4K going through a Denon AVR receiver which is set to HDMI enhanced mode.

all my apps like Netflix, prime video, Disney and infuse all play HDR and Dolby vision content fine, but if I go to the Apple settings video format and select 4k HDR output say for the Home screen the tv goes blank briefly indicating it’s changing mode and the also tv reports HDR but the picture is dim and lifeless, same issue with Dolby vision as well.

match content is set to range and frame rate.

How can the all apps all work correctly but not the Apple TV itself ?

When you select 4k HDR or 4k DV instead of 4k SDR, everything will be forced to play in HDR or DV regardless of the whether the source is or isn't HDR.

The home page was not meant to be displayed in forced HDR or forced DV.

Ok thanks very much, I did not realise that. That explains it then. Cheers
