latest imac and external 27" monitor = loud fans?

hi,

i am thinking about buying an imac because my MBP fans really loud if i attach my external 27" dell U2711 monitor.

thinking about buying the 21" imac with NVIDIA GeForce GT 750M with 1 GB to have the possibility to work in silence

do you have experience with this or a comparable setup? that would be very helpful.

I run a 21" iMac (specs below) and a 24" NEC Spectraview monitor. No noise issue for me.
