So, I bought my first ever Mac product (13" macbook) to go with my USB-based recording interface (M Audio Fast Track) and realised that I'd need software to run it with.

Any suggestions on a good program? I've used Pro Tools 7 LE before, but was interested in the latest version of Logic.

Any help (constructive only) would be appreciated.

What are your requirements from audio software? Are you recording live instruments mainly, using software instruments - style of music, etc??

Garageband is included with every Mac. See if it suits your needs.

Logic Express or Pro is fantastic both for audio and MIDI work, recording to end product. Pro Tools is also great. Better at audio weaker at MIDI.
