Two questions regarding connecting the latest MacBook Pro and unable to connect to the television...

1. The below connection doesn't seem to work at all (OS or Windows)....

- Using a "Mini DisplayPort to HDMI Adapter"

- Then using a cord which is "HDMI" the other end is "VGA"

- TV input is VGA

[I am gussing perhaps it is either the cord is incompatible, or there is some driver required - which after searching, I am unable to find]

2. If I use Windows, is it possible to get this "Mini DisplayPort to HDMI Adapter" to work ?

if its the latest mbp your mini display port supports hdmi with sound. if your tv has hdmi get a mini display port to hdmi adaptor then an hdmi cable to the tv

you could also get a mini display to dvi then dvi to hdmi cable but it wont carry sound

if your tv has dvi get a mini display to dvi then a dvi cable

if you want vga then just get a mini display to vga then a vga cable. yours isnt working because vga is analog and hdmi is digital
