My MacBook Air applied this latest rapid update without my consent (it was sleeping) and when I opened the laptop it had to boot up due to the update installing on its own. I go to login to my account and it refuses to take my password. I didn’t have a complex password on the Mac, just a nine digit numerical pass and it locked my out of the Mac. The only way I got back in was to login as the local administrator account that has a more complex password and resetting the password for the account. Not sure what they changed with this update but it’s disturbing that it installed without my approval and also locked me out of my Mac.

If the switches for Install macOS updates and/or Install Security responses are on, that's what's going to happen...
