Hi, excuse this possibly stupid question.

I have a late 2012 27" iMac 3.4 i7 with 24GB of RAM that is plenty fast enough for my 'amateur' video processing needs.

I also have an early 2011 MBP 2.3 i7 with 8GB of RAM that I use for providing Skype video psychotherapy that is quite a lot slower.

After checking Geekbench scores it seems that the only advantage of the top spec new RMBP is the faster wifi, since it seems that the scores of the early 2013 RMBP 2.7 i7's are as good or better. Or have I missed something?????

I am 'coveting' a Retina MBP anyway but maybe my business need for the change in terms of better screen quality & speed, in practice, there would be little improvement. The difference here in UK between the RMBP's is about £1000 for a BNIB on eBay!
