According to a Google Dublin employee and sources in Taiwan, Google will launch the Nexus 8 with Android 4.5 in July.
Furthermore, those sources in Taiwan suggested a few weeks ago that Google will have an “initial shipments of two million units.” The same report also indicated that Google has once more chosen ASUS to be their partner in the development of the new stock Android-powered tablet.
Even though Google I/O will be in June, these 'sources' say there will be no mention of Android 4.5 (or whatever number it will be) or mention of the next Nexus device. Seems odd to me? But if Asus is going to be the OEM, I will not be buying it. Asus sucks at hardware. I've given them 2 chances and they have screwed up both times. The touchscreen issue is by far the worst with the 2013 version nexus 7. Never again will I give Asus another dime.
