hi guys,i look and search for this problem, but i couldn't find anything and i'm fairly new with macs, why i have to click twice sometimes 3 or 4 times to erase the address bar to start typing, you know like you would do in google chrome, i mean, is that the way safari is or that is something that i'm doing wrong? can it be modify? or i will have to go back to chrome?
Thanks! :)

3 clicks:
1: focus on the address bar
2: highlight a word
3: highlight the entire URL

What do you mean? I just wonder if that's the way it is,but when I click anywhere in the bar on google chrome it gets highlighted right away,I don't have to click several times like in safari,I wonder if that's the way safari is or is there something I'm doing wrong, any output is appreciated:)

That's the way it works in Safari. Google chrome behaves differently. Personally, I find it much easier just to hit CMD-L on the keyboard and it automatically highlights the URL even when the address bar isn't focused.

pardon my ignorance, but what is the favicon?

Perhaps derived from "favorites" and "icon" = favicon? It's the little doodad in the URL box next to the, um, URL itself. You can also grab it and drag it to other applications and it will morph into the URL. Thus, you don't have to highlight the whole thing and do Copy.

It's just that if I click there it take me to my bookmarks, and that's why this part for basic and help stuff
