Latest TeleMarket computer repair scam

I received 2 foreign calls this week that my Windows computer is sending error messages to the "Server". The caller said he would be happy to fix this for me. I told him it was a nice try, since I'm on a Mac.

I can imagine the credit card charges that would result from accepting this friendly offer.

Got those phone calls too a couple of weeks ago. They want you to install an exe via the command line. In fact you are installing an application that lets them take over your PC. I guess they can do anything they want after that.

I got the same thing a couple weeks ago. Caller ID came up blocked and they could not tell me what operating system I was running. Nice try. LOL
