Latest update affects Safari and YT? (FauxK)

Before this latest update, Safari would (at least) play 4k YouTube content at 1440p. Now it seems it only displays 1080p? As a 5k iMac user I was already frustrated with 1440p. Now it's only 1080p and it simply looks dreadful.

????
