I just got a S3 Cellular AppleWatch for christmas. Woke up this morning to a message on my phone saying that my watch had been updated. I kicked it off yesterday when the battery was below 50% so I guess it started some point over night. Now my watch powers on to a warning screen. Just spent an hour on chat with apple support and they have to send me a replacement. Ugh.

It's possible the Watch lost the connection or was interrupted during the update process. Either way, Apple will restore it for you or replace it.

They didn't go into much detail on the support chat, but as soon as I told them the error, they pretty much said it was going to have to be sent out for repair. Since I had only had it 5 days, they are just sending a replacement. It's a bummer but I am glad they are taking care of it. I have a S0 from pretty much the beginning and never had any issues at all with it. Im glad I haven't given it away yet - I am now using it as a backup until my replacement is here. Just in the couple hours I've been using it today there is a HUGE difference in performance/responsiveness.
