Hi!
I've got a Macbook with with Leopard v10.5-something installed. When I installed the latest update and was at about 25% done with the "writing"-part it suddenly failed.
I got a message prompting to restart (I think it said that it was something wrong with the source from which it was writing), when I restart the computer I get another message promting me to restart.

My backup is a few months old, so I wonder if there is some way around my problem?

If you could be more specific about what exactly the error messages are saying, that would help.

Or, just try to run software update again.

Yeah, but since I cannot get it to startup, I cannot run software update again.

I've got a Windows partition which I still can access on the same computer if that helps in any way.

Can you just restore from your backup?

And I love your nickname.

I didn't know we were allowed to use swears in our nicknames. :(
Oh, sorry to have offended you, but does **** really count a swear-word?

Edit: Well... I apparently got censored ^^.
I only used the nic because that was my own thought when the computer screamed "Kernel panic!".

Anyways, lets get back to the topic please.
