iPad Latest version of Kindle App and Battery drain

Hi guys, I've noticed a significant decrease in the battery life of my iPad with the latest update of the Kindle app. In 1h of reading, the battery drained about 15% with the screen brightness at approximately less than 50%. I didn't use to have this problem... I would read for hours and the battery would drain maybe 4 or 5%.

Anyone else experiencing the same problems?

Hello. I'm finding the same. About an hour of reading using the kindle app uses around 15% of the battery (3rd gen iPad).

I have an iPad 3 and I'm not seeing it. But I use white text on the black background. I'll try it the other way and see if it makes a difference.
