Hey Guys,

Please help, PhD thesis submission in 1 week and my Latex is not working properly on a OS X Lion. When I tried to type several commands in the terminal window to compile my latex documents, the error message popped up:

-bash: bibtex: command not found
-bash: makepdf: command not found

It used to work fine on Snow Leopard and now I have this problem.

How can I resolve it????

Thanks

Sounds like your path got mangled. Where did you get LaTeX from originally?

I'd suggest going back there and re-installing as the easiest path.

Hi

Well, I downloaded my Latex from somewhere (don't really remember the exact source). Why is this so important?

So, you suggesting to re-instal the whole Latex? Is there any other way...perhaps adding path or something among these lines?

Thanks

You'd have to know what you are doing, which if you did, you wouldn't have to ask. ;)

Plus there's less risk to your thesis from mucking about.

Ok, so the solution is to install the new MacTex 2011 and everything works fine happily forever after.
