I'm curious as to the advantages of LateXit. I just noticed that with you can add special characters to neoOffice and textedit, like integral signs and etc. So why do people choose to use LaTeXit? is it because you can copy and paste the equations easily? thanks in advance for the responses :)
 
If you need to type only one or two fairly simple formulas, Latex will not be all that helpful. However, if you have a lot of complex mathematical formulas and you want them to look as good as they would in a properly published Math book, ten you need Latex.
