In my efforts to go Flash free on my macbook I've followed the instructions from this site as kindly supplied by another forum user:

http://daringfireball.net/2010/11/flash_free_and_cheating_with_google_chrome

I've set up a keyboard shortcut to launch Google Chrome when needed but it is detailed on the site that this may break periodically as Google Chrome is updated.

It is recommended to use this method for the keyboard shortcut instead:

Now I need help:confused:

The links for downloading the scripts do not work.
In the comments section there are reader added scripts but I don't really understand what I'm seeing and what alterations may be needed to run the script.
How do I know if a script is a 'good' script or a 'bad' script?
I've seen Terminal commands posted on forums as a rather nasty joke that could totally wipe a computer.
Could an applescript cause the same havoc to an unwary user?

I need some help before proceeding any further, with answers to the above questions at the very least, and a few pointers to set me in the right direction if possible.

Thanks.
