So, I'm infatuated with my iPad mini, but one thing I do not like is the RAM. Now, after some searching and digging through the OS, I realized that were so many background processes launching from boot and staying open that were device-specific and need not be on my iPad! So, I went ahead and did the launch daemon check and disable that I did on my original iPad a while back when I had it, and the performance of the mini after doing so is tremendous. Web browsing is so much better and app openings and multitasking is much better.

I included the link to the daemons list that you can use at your discretion (make sure to backup the launch daemons folder to your computer!). You can also used iCleaner to disable some daemons, but I personally liked disabling them manually (I guess I'm old-fashioned that way, hahaha). I also did this to my 4S and I've seen improvement on it as well.

Awesome, thanks for this. I have a 3gs which is dog slow, hopefully this helps.

Did you just remove the safe ones or go a little further? A quick scan of the comments i notice you are told to hold off a while because of some problems, wondering if the guy has updated his post to reflect this.

You're welcome! Yeah, it seems this one is a few years old. Looks like this one is updated.

I went through and read through them and decided which ones weren't necessary to be enabled for my iPad, like adminlite, for example.
