does anyone here know when on launch day our phones actually get delivered? this is my first time preordering an iPhone. i work the night shift and UPS usually delivered my packages in the evening.

I'm debating on calling AT&T and have them change it to store pick up but I'm afraid something might happened and i wont be able to get it on the 16th

If your hub is local, call UPS or use MyChoice to have it held at the local hub. Then you can go pick it up as soon as they open in the morning.

If order through Apple...fed ex delivers and by me in Oklahoma I have had my phone by 9am CST

Ordering through att they shipped UPS and UPS delivers by 2-3pm CST

so it depends who you ordered through and what they use to ship

I would not do it. Any amendment on the order might push back your ship date

My experience has been the courier is later than normal due to the # of deliveries happening that day.

Lol, At&t ships Fedex, Apple uses UPS. At least in my experience where I live.

That is weird. I have pre-ordered since the 4S and when I used Apple they always shipped FED-EX to me and I get it by 9am

When I used ATT they always shipped UPS

Apple uses both. There are times when I ordered something on Apple, they shipped it through UPS and gave me the UPS tracking. But most of the time they shipped through Fedex. But I think Apple uses both at times like these.

UPS will deliver between 8AM-8PM. If those times don't work, have it held and pick it up next day. iPhones are shipped via UPS and accessories are shipped FedEx for whatever reason.

iPhone has shipped via Fedex for me all the time.

Must be location based then. I have never once received an iPhone via FedEx unless it was an AppleCare replacement. All new launch day devices are shipped UPS for SoCal.

I received a launch day iPhone via FedEx, but it was several years ago.

Hmmm. I've only ever received launch day devices via UPS. iPad. iPhone. Apple Watch. And only ever receive accessories and AppleCare replacement products via FedEx.

You can Google the hubs and see a map of where they are in the country and from that get a pretty good idea who your carrier will be. I am 99% sure UPS is my carrier in New Orleans because we have a hub here and no FedEx hub is nearby.

We have both FED-EX and UPS hubs here by me in Oklahoma. I am glad or I should say Apple ships mine Fed-ex as they deliver to my area by 9am
