Anyone who would like to buy an iphone 4, it will be on sale next week at radioshack for $169.00. You will also be able to trade in your old phone. Now while most wouldn't really care about this information, I feel as though this definitely signifies that the iphone 5 will be announced soon.

$100 for trading in iPhone 3G sounds OK, but would be a waste with 3GS imo.

Trading in an iPhone 3G for an iPhone 4 for $69 with 2 year plan sounds pretty decent to me

Selling your 3g off craigslist for $150 and buying an iPhone 5 for $50 more sounds much MUCH better to me ;)

I didn't see any evidence in your post that the release of the next iPhone is coming soon.

Radioshack having a sale on the iPhone 4 doesn't mean much, it's been on sale before.

Apple has been known to try and get rid of stock of older models as a newer model approaches. Putting 2 and 2 together one could possibly come to the conclusion that this may be a way apple is trying to sellout of iphone 4's.

This has never applied to the iPhone (or any Mac hardware), just the iPods.

Also, RadioShack is not known for having the most inventory when it comes to the iPhone.

Radio Shack offered a deal, ending today, in which the 16GB iPhone 4 cost $149. On top of that, you could trade in your older iPhone for discounts up to $125. But even early on in the sale, customers reported that their local Radio Shack was completely out of iPhone 4s.

That leaves us with two possible conclusions. The first is that Radio Shack effectively marketed their sale on the iPhone 4, and holiday shoppers and iPhone holdouts cleaned out Radio Shack's stock of the iPhone 4. The second possibility is that Radio Shack deliberately stocked fewer iPhone 4s, so that they could lure in customers to see other, non-sale items.

So once again, Radioshack having a sale on the iPhone 4 doesn't mean much and is no indication that a new iPhone is coming soon.

Just to show you that iphone stock does go down before a new model is released smart guy. And that's just a quick 2 second google search, I'm sure I could find more proof showing my point.

Also I work at a radioshack and to say we don't have a large quantity of an item, if you don't work there yourself is nonsense. We currently have about 50 iphones with more coming in tomorrow and this from a low volume store.
