Okay, so I don't think the title really does my question any justice so i'm just going to explain what I want to do and hopefully someone can help me do it or tell me if it's just not possible. I'll start from the beginning...
I have a netflix account. It rocks. What I would like to do is create an icon on my dock that has a Netflix icon and brings me right to the netflix page when I click on it. If possible I do not want to have the lame @ icon from a drag and drop or have it forced to live outside of the app section. I know that I can probably change the icon in the get info.. but I would like to try and avoid that because of where it lives. I also don't want to use Fluid, only because I'm lazy and cheap and the lack of cookie storage is a buzz-kill. SO here goes..
What I would like to have is the ability to use Applescript to tell an application to launch Netflix.com. This, in itself, I can figure out how to do.
Now, is there a way to create a "blank application". One that I can make my own icon for, and it's sole purpose is to open Netflix.com, so that I don't to use an existing app. If I said [tell application Safari get url netflix.com] it doesn't seem to work anyway. I would like to be able to put it in my dock on the left side. I hope this makes sense to everyone. If not please ask me questions. So, is it possible? I know it kind of seems like a control freak thing to ask but it's something I would like to do hehe.
::::I just had the thought of creating an alias of safari and using that to launch it, but that doesn't work...
Thanks to anyone who can help... sorry if I dragged on a bit.
