Launchpad disappears from dock every restart

Every time I restart my laptop running Yosemite, Launchpad disappears from the dock. Not a huge deal I always just add it back, but really kind of annoying that I can't figure out why.

Anybody else experience this or something similar?

I neer heard of this. You could just use the keyboard button (F4 key above the 4 key, looks like 6 squares).

Try adding the icon back and manually remove it (right click > remove from dock). Then add it again. Did anything change after a reboot?
