Launchpad icon missing

As the title states, I have a game which installed just fine. It put an alias on the desktop as well as in the Launchpad. The problem is, the icon is the default icon yet in the App folder and desktop, the icons are normal. Any ideas how to fix this? Already tried getting rid of every trace of the app and starting over but just doesn't help.

Looking around a little with Google, some people have suggested deleting the databases that the Dock and Launchpad look at, but those were back with Mavericks. With Yosemite some have suggested a couple of terminal commands, I'd test either both for you, but I have no icon issues with my Launchpad (and just spent the last 10 minutes cleaning it all up).
