Hi,

Has anyone ever found a solution to the Launchpad getting utterly messed up after each and every macOS update, be it major or minor? This has been going on since forever. At least since Lion, if not earlier.
As it's obvious that Apple doesn't consider it a bug and will never fix it, has any of you found at least a workaround, if not a solution?

Thank you.

I haven't, and yet it seems to be the way that Apple want us to start / access apps ever since they stopped putting a shortcut to the Applications folder in the dock by default. So you'd think they'd leave it be.

There must be a file somewhere which contains the layout structure, but wherever it is, it's not backed up by Time Machine either, because I've noticed if I ever do a TM restore, it doesn't recreate the layout of the Launchpad how I had it at the time of backup.
