LaunchPad - Selecting More Than One Icon?

The Lion install formatted my Launchpad, let's say, interestingly. Putting a lot of unrelated apps in multiple TurboTax folders, etc. I really need to rearrange all of my Launchpad.

Is there a way to select more than one icon within a Launchpad folder and move them all out of the folder at one time? Or do I need to go one-by-one?

A folder in Finder?

I was thinking maybe there is some Finder folder (hidden or otherwise) that let's you easily drag and drop launchpad icon references ... sort of like you can do with bookmarks and the like.
