If I want to create layered PSD files (for use in DVD Studio Pro), is Photoshop the only way to do that? If so, will Photoshop Elements 4.0 do the job, or should I look at the full version?
I am trying to create a layered menu in DVD Studio. Yes, I know, they are slow, and they don't allow background music, but what I have in mind is a chapter menu with a single large image instead of the multiple thumbnails, and I want the image to change as the selection on the menu changes. I assume a layered menu is the way to do that. Ideally, the editor should support non-square pixels - not sure if Photoshop Elements does.
In general, I am also interested in comments as to what features the full version of Photoshop offers over Elements, from a video production point of view.
Thanks,
Martin
