Hello,

I just replaced the screen/digitizer on my iPad mini after it was broken. The LCD still worked, so I did not replace that, but now after changing out the screen the LCD will not work. The iPad turns on, and if I hold down the home button I can hear Siri, just can't see anything.

My first thought was that it was a backlight fuse failure, but everything I have seen about that says it is indicated by a dim screen, not a totally black screen like I am having. I have triple checked all the connections, tried hard resets, disconnected and reconnected the battery, all to no avail.

There was not any trauma to the LCD, and the connector cables seem to be in good shape, so I can't figure out what the problem is. I also tried reconnecting the shattered screen/digitizer to determine if the new one was the problem, but the screen is still black.

Any advice (other than "you shouldn't do repairs yourself") would be appreciated.

Thanks!
