LCD from Imac G5 1,8 17" into a G4 800mzh 17"

I have an old G5 that seems to be dead. I'm thinking of taking the LCD from it and place in my G4 17" were the LCD is broken.

From what I can see the resolution is the same, the models are from nearly the same time. How can i check that the LCD can be used in the G4?:confused:
