OK here is my problem. I have a 2011 ,13 inch macbook air. Broke the screen. it is a lp133wp1 lcd. so i ordered a new on off ebay a couple months ago but never got around to installing it till this weekend. Well of course the screen doesnt work. The backlight comes on but the screen just has lines no video. I know its not the machine because my old screen works it just has a crack in it . its too late to return it so i have nothing to lose. I peel the 2 ribbons off the old lcd that connect the glass screen to the connector board. I wanted to see if i could use my old board with the new glass. Any one have an idea how i can re attach it ? it looks like its just stuck on but not sure. thanks in advance for advice.

I have hypothesized that those ribbon cables are attached with some kind of iron. Once they are removed, I don't believe reattachment is possible with consumer level tools.
