I need serious help. My iMac (which was bought in september of 2006) fell around 2 months ago and cracked on the left side of the screen. It wasn't such a big problem until blue vertical lines began forming around the crack and now spreading. Now I don't know what to do, would it be cheaper to get it fixed at an Apple store or can I replace the screen, and if so where would I be able to buy an LCD 15" screen? i live in brooklyn, ny. Please helppp :(:(:(:(

Judging by your post, you don't have the expertise to replace it yourself. Just go to the Apple store and pay to have it fixed. I will likely cost somewhere in the range of $200-$600 for a new screen and outer case.
If you wait around too long, there will become a point in which the LCD liquids will start to leak out of your computer, doing more damage to the computer and to everything else around the computer.
