Hey,
So I miss how with an imac G4 you could just grab the screen and move it wherever and it swiveled and was just overall very very useful.
I'm looking for something that would function like that for my LCD, VESA mount compatible. Anyone knw of anything like that?

i360

I use one of these,

the i360, with my 24" Aluminum iMac and love it!

It's basically just a turntable, but combined with the iMac's built in "tilt" ability, it gives you much flexibility... though maybe not as much as a G4. Especially for connecting/unconnecting cables (i.e. FW400 for my camcorders), this is well worth it.

I think they make the i360 for a variety of white and aluminum iMacs, as well as :apple: Cinema Displays. Don't know about options for non-:apple: displays.

just re-read the OP... I see you don't mention your display being Apple, so my 1st answer is probably not helpful (to you).

However, if you just go to Office Max or some such place... probably can find these on a variety of online stores too... I've seen where they have VESA-mount monitor "arms" that mount/clamp to the back of your desk and can swing around (forward, back, up, down) and swivel and tilt. Not quite like having a 1/2-globe-shaped lamp-style G4 base, but should provide similar functionality. I'm not certain what these products are called. Your friend google can probably help.
