lcd tv issue

i have a acer at3201 lcd tv
i use my tv for a monitor, movies, anime and such and one thing i notice is if i leave it on a static image for a 10+minutes it gets discolored where that was for a undetermined amount of time (more than a few minutes)

eg. when i put a grey filled backgroind behind where no signal was i now see a light pink transparent no signal
when there is motion on the screen you can hardly notice i just wonder how can i fix this? and is my tv dying

Send white to the monitor and leave it for about an hour or so. It should clear the burned in image. You may have to leave it longer if it doesn't clear out. I had a burn in on two of my tv's in the past. An lcd and a plasma. Rather than displaying a white image, try displaying videos or video games with a lot of color. Try movies like finding nemo, planet earth, or if you have a ps3 or xbox 350, display the music visualizer.
