I've got a 32" Samsung TV which is currently hooked up to my Powerbook, but will be hooked up to a Mac Mini for advertisement etc.

Now it doesn't pick up the proper res of the TV, I'm wondering if there are any software tools out there to configure it to be the right res and refresh rate etc.

If your using the DVI out jack and converting that output to a HDMI or VGA or whatever is on the TV, then in your SYSTEM PREFRENCES under DISPLAYS you can set the resolution and refresh rate of the external display you are using.

you might need to give a little bit more info: What type of Cables are you using???
DVI to HDMI??
DVI to Component?
S-Video??

Sorry, I never got notifications on a post in this thread.

I'm connecting to the TV from DVI on my laptop, using the normal VGA cable to the TV.

I can select a resolution close to it, but doesn't allow me to select the native resolution, there's no entry to it.

So I'm trying to figure a way to let it know what the VSync and HSync are, along with what res's it can handle.
