le captain logs me out randomly

Just as I'm installing apps I'll get moved to the login screen to login again, this happens repeatedly. I have checked the settings in Security & Privacy > Advanced > Log out XX minutes of inactivity which was already unchecked can't think what else to try.

Any help appreciated.

Details:
Clean install on Mac Pro 2009
ATI Radeon HD 5870 1024 MB
16 GB 1066 MHz DDR3 ECC
