assuming an iPhone with 4G is not being released until 2012 (based on rumors), the 4GS would have to come afterwords, meaning in the year 2013, and even then it will only iOS 4.0? really, lame.

if this is going to be an upgrade like

iphone 3G to iphone 3GS

then i wont be upgrading this summer

If that's going to be it, I'm not sure if I'd upgrade this summer. Maybe the specs could change my mind.

Still, it looks kinda nice, I wouldn't mind a slightly bigger screen and that does look very attractive, doesn't look bad at all.

my assumption is when a leaked photo does come out it wont be on a UK carrier, unless apple no longer is a US company

The pic could have been taken by someone testing on the O2 network. O2 were the primary partner with Apple, in the UK, and did have testing units prior to each launch.

not the worst photoshop ive seen but it is definitely a fake. Just look at around the hand and the quality of the screen compared to everything else. I know its a retina display but it wouldnt look better than a hand.

besides, would you really expect a iphone prototype this early until its release to be running a stock looking ios4? remember with the iphone4 they couldnt even get it to load a firmware so yeah. And the other leaks were running a diagnostic program instead of ios.

Leaked shots are taken in factories with tiny cameras. They're certaily not professional shoots with many lights set up, a large SLR, and a hand model.

Those type of marketing shots are taken much closer to launch, first of all, and secondly, they're not going to leak because there's only a half-dozen people who it could have been so they're certain to get nailed for it.

Show me a grainy photo from a factory warehouse if you want any credibility.

That's because a goober lost it and remotely wiped it, try installing any firmware on a bricked iPhone - let alone a prototype that is designed to run a 'future' iOS.

that may be but dont you think, consdiering how secretive apple is that they would take precautions to prevent any sort of itunes working connection if a remote wipe doesnt happen.

in the end, the picture is fake as hell...on to the next "leaked iphone 5 pictures!zomg!" thread

The people who make these fakes a pretty damn stupid the way they do it. There are so many flaws in them it's ridiculous. Obviously not the brightest bunch that's doing this.

Can any of you "photoshopped experts" point out in that leaked photo of any evidence that the picture is not authentic?

You can create bokeh with cheap $50 cameras all day long.

That would be telling and then you'd know as much as they do. (it's a power thing).

No doubt it's a fake, but I'd take that larger screen in a second.
