Hey guys,
I used to have a decent knowledge on how to program in vb.net...5 years later and now on a mac i want to develop iphone applications. I have read up on C++ enough to understand the basis of object oriented programming. I will now start reading one of the 3 e-books on objetive C but am just wondering how long it will take (i know it depends) to hit the learning curve tht most people and tutorials say exist?

get that and this

and you will be fine.

the learning curve depends on how smart you are and how much experience you have.

I'm not very smart and have no experience, so its taking me a while. My father (2 phd's in math and 30+ years of programming) basically just looked at 3-4 sample programs and I think has opened the grapefruit book once.

He's already re-written most of apple's API's so they work better.
