Hi all

Just looking for a bit of advice, my wrist measures just above 160mm, and I am not sure which size to get for the new 40mm leather link strap...

S/M - 130-160mm wrist
M/L - 140-180mm wrist

What would you personally order??

Thanks

I presume it's the 40mm case for those sizes. You're measurement is above the S/M size so I'd definitely get the M/L.

This seems like a trick question...

By your own measurement, you're outside of the S/M range and right in the M/L range. I think the M/L would probably be your best bet.

The one that gives some flexibility if your wrist gets a little bigger due to weather/temp/other things.

So M/L for a 160mm wrist

Do you know what... for some reason I had in my head the M/L was 160-180 ha! Defo M/L for me sorry guys 😳
Did you ever get this band? My wrist is exactly 160mm (so although within M/L range, still technically sits within S/M) and I’m wondering how much the strap wraps around itself on your wrist? Is there surplus or does it feel right with the M/L version on a 40mm watch?

Yes I did, get the M/L, my partner has the S/M and the end of the strap is positioned in such a way that if your arms brushed against your trousers when walking it would take the watch clean off your wrist.

The M/L on the other hand wraps just enough around to prevent it happening... see photo of the M/L on my wrist, it doesn’t wrap too far in my opinion. (Excuse my monkey arms lol)

This is the S/M by comparison...

Hey there, could you measure the length of the M/L pieces? That would be a big help for me as I‘m almost the same wrist size. Thank you!!
Hope the pics help… this is on the 40mm watch 👍 M/L strap

I just went through this exact dilemma. I ordered the M/L Leather Link Band and saw it wrap a good way around to the other side. I went to the store and checked out a S/M version and it didn't feel secure enough since there was not enough magnetic contact. For reference I am size 9 on Apple's loop band (tested with a braided loop) and have ~18cm wrist diameter.

From what I saw there seems to be ~1.5" length difference between the two sizes, so if you want to do a quick and dirty comparison add/subtract ~1" of extra overlap. For example, if your strap is wrapping around to the other side, just imagine having ~1" less overlap.

Had same issue with a 45mm version, I first opted for M/L with a 175mm wrist, but that overlapped almost to the Watch Lug, and looked stupid.
With the S/M It is an inch less, and just gets arround the underside of the wrist, overlapping 9 links, which is secure and does not pull loose.

Is the strap width of the leather link 44mm (e.g. Saddle Brown) and the new 45mm (e.g.golden brown) the same?

After struggling for a while figuring out which size to buy i eventually went for S/M. My wrist size it 178mm and I measured as size 9 for the solo loop measurement. This is how the band looks on my arm with a 45mm watch. I am happy with the fit. I think M/L would have been too long.

I’ve got the same dilemma, I have a 40mm AW Se and would like a midnight leather link band.

My wrist is 16,5cm, so do you still confirm M/L is the way to go and doesn’t wrap too high on the other side? Would S/M be really too short? From your first photo @James Godfrey i can’t really understand how much does it wrap! Thanks so much

Go for the larger size. Yes it will wrap a bit more but the extra magnetic holding power come in handy. This band has been my very favorite for years now as it is so easy to adjust tightness.

Thanks, just out for delivery today!
Bought the M/L 41mm, just right before FiNEwOvEn replaced these!

I bought another black leather link to keep as a spare. I have used the current black leather link for almost two years and it still is like new! Not so sure about this Fine Woven thing!

Enjoy, it is a great band!
