Anyone that has had in store experience with the leather loop band, need your help.

I have read mixed posts here about how secure the loop band is. Most from looking at photos... Would like real input from actual users...

Is it secure? Where are the magnets? Just at the ends? Embedded in the band?

Thanks in advance!

I thought the magnets in the leather loop was very strong and secure. That was my worry at first, but after trying it, that's the one I'm getting.

It's extremely secure. I flailed around my hand a little bit while trying it on and it was all good. The magnets are along the end of the band and are several "links" of the band itself. So as you start to close the band it seemed to get more magnetic as it reached the end of the band and definitely snapped closed quickly. It was fun to play with for a few seconds haha.

At my try-on appointment today I tried the black leather loop and the magnet on the large and medium were both excellent. I tried everything to get it off. I ended up getting the medium size with the ss apple watch

I tried the black leather loop today.... I was really impressed with the strength of the magnets in the band. It felt as if there were magnets throughout the entire band. I was so impressed I ordered the band today to go with my SS w/ white sport band. I was going to decide between the premium bands after trying them on, I thought the malinese loop magnet was rather weak and tended to shift up and down while wearing.

After reading here, I tried the leather assuming it would pull right off, nope, the magnets were STRONG.

LOL, guess people saying they're no good are trying to scare off potential buyers. Won't work on me, I already bought mine right after preorders began.

In-store experience is worthless, not until worn day after day in your normal environment will you know how it holds up. I'd bet they're all just fine.

Just relax and wear it. It's replaceable if it gets ruined.

Yep - definitely strong magnets

The whole band magnets together and feels extremely secure. I could wiggle the end side-to-side a little bit, but they won't come undone with a scrape on something

The only drawback was that the leather loop was a lot tighter to remove the band from the watch as the connector isn't metal

i wonder how it will hold up in time. I find the magnets on my iPad smart cover to be weaker when i first bought it?

That's odd. My specialist unhooked the leather loop from the watch, and there was a metal piece on the end that goes in the watch groove. It sort of wraps around the end of the leather. I looked like it was crimped on tight.

there there was a bit of metal but it didn't cover the whole length - probably about half of it

I'll eventually buy a blue leather loop band, but I hope they release red soon. Kind of perturbed that I couldn't get exactly what I wanted out of all of the combinations... Space Black Stainless with Black Sport, Black Milanese Loop, Red/Blue Leather Loop bands. I guess one can dream right?

I looked at the Blue leather loop today. It felt very secure and looked real snazzy - the material didn't feel like leather though. It almost felt... plasticy.
