I am torn between these two materials, and of which would be better. which is most durable?

Also, would it be worth it to get a more expensive leather sleeve, and when and if I upgrade to a newer macbook pro and sell my older macbook pro, sell the leather case with it, or keep the leather sleeve for a newer model I get?

Or get a cheaper nylon sleeve, use it with what I have and then sell the macbook pro with the nylon case and all each time?

It really is your choice mate, durability will be down to how well it is made rather than material, sleeves almost always go at the seams rather than wearing through.

The new MacBook pros are smaller so you may well want a new sleeve to fit more snugly though.

I personally like neoprene sleeves, as I find they add greater protection against shock, at the expense of a slightly thicker sleeve.
