I couldn't find a current topic on this so here goes. Does anyone have a leather sleeve they are using on their iPhone that has a very slim, little to no bulk feel that the Sena sleeves do? Example of the sleeve I am using: https://www.senacases.com/collectio...r-sleeve-for-iphone-xs?variant=16800882556997

My problem with the Sena ones is that the quality continues to go down year after year. I have some of the older sleeves from prior phones and they are still in tip top shape. The ones I've purchased from the iPhone X forward keep having threads come lose and generally just don't look as good. The XS Max sleeve looks like plastic as opposed to leather. The reason I keep buying Sena is that I have yet to find a sleeve maker that makes such a fitted sleeve. Other sleeves have bulky stitching on the sides or other bulky materials. Would love to hear from sleeve users!

Thanks for posting this, I’m trying to decide on a case for iPhone 8 and was unaware of the sleeve type of design. Was considering folio cases.

I use an envelope style case for my iPad Air, made from fake leather (or maybe real leather I cannot tell) for carrying around and storing the iPad, and I use the iPad caseless, similar to the sleeve idea. Got this case from a dollar store years ago, they seem unavailable now.

Bumping this hoping someone found an alternative. Sena is selling iPhone 11 Pro sleeves but they are of that same awful textured “leather” they used in the Xs sleeves.

This is the first year I’m not going with Sena. The material in the xs max case was different. It literally never broke in like leather does. Almost felt like vinyl.

Waterfield Designs has a fantastic new executive leather sleeve but $30 usd shipping to Canada plus the exchange rate on the $69 usd purchase price is just a bit much for me.

Fitbag has a line of sleeves called Beat that are nappa leather. Not very structured but inexpensive and slim. They also have a Classic line made of Alcantara. Lots of colours available.

I’ll probably get a fitbag but I really want the Waterfield one. :(

Same here. The sleeves they made for the Xs are of horrible quality. It’s supposed to be pebbles leather but it’s basically bumpy plastic. It never broke in either on my side. I recommended them to a friend he also complained why his never looked nice like the ones I had before. I confirmed with Sena they aren’t planning on making the “smooth” leather ones this year either.

I bought a Pro (non Max) and my old X sleeve works although it’s a tiny bit too tight because of the added thickness. We’ll see how it goes. I did see the Waterfields one (fan of them btw) but I’m concerned the stitching method will make it bulkier than needed.

I did find this other brand:https://burkleycase.com/collections...-for-apple-iphone-xs-max-6-5-in-burnished-tan

No experience with them but it looks like what we might be looking for.

PS - let me know if I can help you proxy the Waterfield if you go that route. I am sure I can ship to Canada for less than $30

That Burkley sleeve looks like great quality. A bit over branded though and I don’t know that I like the cut out at the top. $55 CAD including shipping though so not too bad. Might have to give it a try.

I appreciate the offer re: waterfield. I’ll definitely reach out if I do decide on that. I think you might be right about the thickness. They don’t mention wireless charging compatibility so that may be an issue too.

I just dug out my old Sena ultra slim for the 7plus and it’s a perfect fit! Bonus is this one is well worked in and not the plasticky texture. Looks like I’m just going to recycle this one for the year.

They’ve got tan and black for the 7plus on sale for $20 in case anyone is interested.

Agreed on both points on the Burkley.

Great find on the 7Plus! I can't believe I missed that. I just tried an old one of mine and you are right.
