I've searched and read through all of the leather iPhone X case threads but haven't seen mention of two of my frontrunners.

As background, I got the Apple Leather case in blue for my iPhone 6 and hated it. Felt cheap and barely offered any protection.

I'm now considering:

Sena Vence Leatherskin ($39.95) - Seems great and has metal buttons

Nomad Rugged Case ($44.95) - Nice looking leather but maybe too much plastic and coverage of bottom?

Burkley 360 Degree ($39) vs Snap-on ($49) - the 360 back looks really nice with stitching. Snap-on is more expensive but with huge cutouts. Can't tell why. Also worried about front protection with Snap-on

Apple - is the quality much better than I remember from 3 years ago?

And I looked at Vaja but they seem way overpriced at $89 for the brown I want and lead time is 4-6 weeks. Also looked at Nodus but not sure about the metal/magnet part.

Thanks!

The new IPhone X cases have metal buttons, so if it’s for one of those, it’s a good one.

I have 4-5 leather Apple cases for my current 6s and love them, so I’m sorry you didn’t like them.

despite minimal protection from drops (I never expected excellent drop protection for how minimal it is), i loved the apple leather case. the bottom opening was never an issue for me. had the saddle brown, midnight blue and product red on my iPhone 6 for 2yrs. my iPhone 6 is still mint.

have dropped it on the pavement and only damaged the case, the iPhone was fine.

I now have the saddle brown on my X and love the metal buttons. was jeleous of the iPhone 7 owners when they got it with theirs. the buttons are very responsive and easy to identify. i've dropped it a few times inside the house and all fared well. love the case.

Waiting for my Apple Saddle Brown to come in. Have had Apple leather saddle brown for the last three phones (6S, 7, and 7+). Can't wait for the X case. Nothing more grippy and slim. Also love the way they patina or wear. Have a Tech21 on it now and can't stand it. The $10 Diztronic cases are my other favorite.

You guys don’t find the Apple official case slippery?

Not really - they aren't grippy like silicone cases but not like holding ice either. Seems to be average in terms of grip. The case feels premium and good in your hands, something which should considering a $1000+ phone.

Now the color I'm not so sure about. Seems Saddle Brown might be best, but I got the Midnight blue. It's been a few weeks and it's already darkening. I didn't buy a midnight blue just for it to look black in like 6 months.

I have saddle brown, wife has the blush color silicone, I asked for a black leather case for Christmas.

Might get a white silicone case.

My cousin and his Gf work at Apple. So I’m trying to get another case, screen protector and a ?
Not sure what else lol

Apple Saddle Brown has worked for me. Considered the Nomad Rugged, but review by 9 to 5Mac said the buttons seemed pretty stiff. Could be that is because it was right out of the box. The case looked good though.

I had the nomad in Brown for my iPhone 7 Plus and just picked up my first apple leather case in Black for the X. I think the apple case is much nicer than the nomad in terms of feel.
