Leave an used iPhone as form of payment

Hi all, happy new year.
I am from Argentina and I am travelling to NY this February and I would like to know if I can leave an used iPhone 5 in the Apple store and put some difference to get a new iPhone? Is this possible??

Yes, the iPhone that I have I bought it in NY. Its an iPhone 5 in VERY GOOD condition, do you know in that recycling program how much they can give me for an iPhone 5?? An approximate.

With the devices I've traded into Apple, the amount I've gotten has always been within ten dollars of what is listed on the site linked above.

Running my own near mint, unlocked 32 GB iPhone 5 through their calculator, I'd get $150 through their program. That's $75 - 100 lower than I'd receive selling it privately on Swappa right now, according to their listings.

Apple doesn't pay well for trade ins, but it's convenient.
