I will be leaving for 90 days, I use my unibody mbp daily.
Do I need to set it on a certain charge amount since I wont be using it for 3 months? Certain area or temperature? I hear it's best in a cooler area. Or just not hot?

Appreciate it

Half battery, cool dry place, try searching

Alright, just checkin. Didn't want to come back and something just isn't working properly. Never know with expensive technology these days.

Yes, the batter is removable.

The most important thing is to discharge the battery about half way, and make sure the computer isn't in a sleep mode that will drain it more.

how dare you leave your MBP behind! it should be getting a front seat to where your going....

I know but when you're on an "iron vacation" they won't allow anything in there ;)

She'll definitely be waiting for me when I get out though hehe

Best way to store a battery is at 60-80%, at a cool temperature.
I wouldn't keep it in the fridge, but try find somewhere below 20°C if possible.

"If you don’t plan on using your notebook for more than six months, Apple recommends that you store the battery with a 50% charge. If you store a battery when it’s fully discharged, it could fall into a deep discharge state, which renders it incapable of holding any charge. Conversely, if you store it fully charged for an extended period of time, the battery may experience some loss of battery capacity, meaning it will have a shorter life. Be sure to store your notebook and battery at the proper temperature. (See “Notebook Temperate Zone.”)"
