Leaving macbook pro 13 on overnight to download movie.

Will it still download the movie even if the macbook sleeps? If it does how do I make it not happen?

No, it will not download while it sleeps.

You can get something like InsomniaX to keep it awake after you close the lid, and that will allow you to download the movie with the lid closed.

You can change your sleep settings to 'Never' in Energy Saver in System Preferences.

Just turn down the brightness and leave the lid open.
