Hi, I was just wondering: Does it use more battery power to leave the screen on a low brightness constantly while using it (setting it down for a few seconds here and there), or to lock and unlock the screen as needed?

I read somewhere that it takes extra energy to turn the LCD on, but it sounds sketchy.

Thanks!

I think its common sense.

The more the phone is doing the more battery its going to use. If you leave the screen on its going to use more power. Most apps run in the background so locking the screen is perfectly fine.
