I recently bought one of these; https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0711L68MS?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details&th=1, to use with my Crucial brand SSD drives.
It works good so far, the fan is a little noisy, but I would rather have the noise than my hard drives get too hot. I tried switching off the fan, and they got a lot hotter.
My question is is it safe to leave it on, powered up and running with the fan on for days at time while I work with my drives? for example, I work with one of them for my classwork, saving files and such.
When I go to bed, should I eject and power it down each night? it is or would be a little bit of a pain to do this every day; eject all my drives and power it down each day, but if that is best I will.
Or can I leave it on and running during those periods where I will be working with my drives each day or at least a couple times a week?
