LED 27" Cinema Display - chemical smell?

I've been using the Cinema Display for a few days now, and this horrible smell seems to have cropped up over the last 24 hours every so often. I've read reports online of people experiencing it, but wanted to ask the question on here...

Has anyone encountered this before?? It's getting very hard to stomach

New monitor smell; not as good as new car smell, much worse than gasoline pump smell, though somewhat better than Molly the Golden Retriever fart smell.

I love this smell. Even better than new car smell. Hoping it sticks around!

Likely the plastic and other materials in the panel itself burning in.

If it still persists after about a week of use, then I'd be concerned.

My guess was thermal paste.
