LED Backlighting and my battery.

Ok, sorry if this has been asked before but I couldn't find it. I just got my new MBP, but I'm kind of wondering about using the backlighting and how it affects the battery. I know back on the fluorescent backlighting that how bright it was set could greatly affect battery life, but since this one has LED backlights, does it really make that much of a difference. I'm fine with a lower brightness level, but if it doesn't make much difference I might as well have it brighter. Thanks in advance!

Hmm.. also, to add to my question, in a completely unrelated sense, why does coconut battery list the age of my computer as being 6 weeks? I've had it for 2 days....
