I just bought a high-end PC for purely gaming purposes. I also have an mid-2011 iMac 27" as my primary computer for everything else. My intend is to have my system work so that Cinema Display is the primary display for both systems and iMac is secondary display for Mac. PC only needs to have one display. Here's a picture:

My PC computer has Mini DisplayPort output

I also have my USB keyboard, mouse and DAC connected to USB ports on my Cinema Display so I can use these same devices with whichever system I'm running.

I actually have this system working right now but I would like have some kind of switcher (marked as "?" in my drawing) so I didn't have to manually switch cables. This is a pain since my PCs backpanel is quite difficult to access.

I actually did some research on the subject when I started planning my setup but I would like you guys to tell me what is the best option.

I remember this was my best candidate when I was planning my system:

Atlona AT-MDP21

http://www.atlona.com/Atlona-2x1-Mini-DisplayPort-KVM-Switch.html

Pros: That was actually the only one I'm sure would work exactly as I want

Cons: Hard to find and also quite ugly :p

I did some searching and also found this:

Kanex SnapX

http://www.kanexlive.com/snapx

Pros: Looks quite nice and seems simple and easy to use

Cons: Not sure if it supports all features I need...?

I remember I bumped into that one earlier couple of months ago but I recall it had some problems. Can't remember anymore. Was it that it didn't support high resolutions or something

Please tell me what is/are the best option(s)

Here are my requirements for the switcher:

- MUST support 2560x1440p resolution
- Mini Display port and USB-ports so I can use same peripherals by simply pressing switch button

And not exactly must-have features but it would help if the switcher was as small as possible and unnoticeable
