Led cinema display to DVI (PC)

Hi,

I have a Led cinema display 27 and want to use it on a pc. I have DVI and HDMI, but no Mini displayport on my graphics card (NVIDIA GT440).

How do I connect it?

The better option is to buy a Display port enabled graphics card and a adapter (because Apple again uses miniDisplayPort when everybody use DisplayPort):

You need the opposite. Female mDP to male dvi.

That adapter only work when connection is dvi display to display port on a Mac. Because Mac's have cards that support VGA, DVI, HDMI on mini display port connection.

To connect a display port monitor to a dvi card you need an active converter that is very expensive. Is better to buy a display port graphics card.

Hi, thanks, I did just that.

Bought an HD 7850 Video card with mini display port and everything works, high resolution image, sound, usb, camera, microphone and brightness.

And, of course, it looks a lot better on my desk than my previous samsung...
